Heavytech is a private facility that is licensed by the Vehicle Safety Section to conduct inspections under the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program or CVIP. If you own a bus, truck, light truck, trailer, or trailer in Hinton or Northern Alberta, you can trust our certified regular and heavy-duty mechanics to ensure that your vehicle receives the thorough required inspection it needs to be road-ready.

In Alberta, an annual CVIP Inspection is required for any vehicle with a registered weight of 11,794 kg or more when operating within our province, and 4500 kg or greater when operating extra-provincially. If the CVIP expires, current Alberta Legislation allows the vehicle to return to a facility to obtain the inspection.
